Who’s Afraid of Brett Cecil?

Weekday afternoon games present an offer of luxury to the stay-at-home types, bloggers, bums, looters, and those that enjoy a couple cold beverages at midday. I’m so excited that I’m completely forgetting about tonight’s game versus Cleveland. That’s because of the added intrigue of watching 22-year old left handed Brett Cecil’s first Major League start on Tuesday afternoon.
Cecil hasn’t exactly ripped it up at triple-A Las Vegas, he’s coming to Toronto holding an 0-3 recored with a swollen 8.31 ERA. With just nine strikeouts in 17+ innings, he hasn’t really been “effectively wild” either. I’m not doubting Cecil’s potential, I’m just hoping that the (probably) brief call-up to Toronto jolts his confidence for tomorrow’s matinee.

Tomorrow’s an afternoon game?
MOTHER FUCKER.
Tell me it’s televised, Scott. Just tell me it’s televised.

Tomorrow’s game kicks off at 12:37pm. It’s early afternoon, but it’s still after “noon”.
As far as being televised, she doesn’t look good my man.

I hate you.

Is that seriously a problem? You guys don’t get all the games covered on TV. We have every single painful game on our regional network for both the O’s and Nats. The only question is which team gets the HD coverage for the evening.

There’s a handful of Jays’ games every season that don’t end up televised. Why this happens, I have no idea.
